Represented WFB and the North Shore Area on the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors, 1964-76. Played a critical leadership role in the development of the Milwaukee Regional Center Tennis player at WFBHS and thereafter Marquette University (1956-59), Admitted to Marquette University Athletic Hall of Fame, 1988. US Air Force active duty and reserves 1962-68. Adjunct Professor, Marquette Law School (1975-90). Honorary Consul of Belgium (1984- 2004); Knight of the Order of Leopold (2003) Co-founder of Milwaukee Regional Research Forum with Medical College of Wisconsin (2009), Milwaukee Tennis Classic (1975), Veterans Community Relations Team (VCRT) in 2013, VCRT MacArthur Forum (2014), Annual Kiwanis MacArthur Nimitz Patriotism Luncheon (2014), San Diego (California) Veterans Tennis Classic (2020), Marquette Soaring Eagles (2022), Citizens of Beaumont (in WFB in 2023) Member of St. Monica Catholic Church Wife of 59 1/2 years, Judy, died of Alzheimer's on February 5, 2023. Created the Judith A. Mulcahy Alzheimers Research Fund at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Six grandchildren: Connor Muth, Milwaukee; Chas Muth, Evanston, IL; Courtney Ekmark (Thomas) Pecor, Phoenix, AZ, Andrew Ekmark (Sammy), Phoenix, AZ; Jack Elardo, Coronado, CA and Grace Elardo, Coronado, CA.
