Dave attended the University of Wisconsin - Madison to study Spanish and economics before then getting his law degree from the University of Colorado - Boulder. After 13 years practicing law, Dave joined the Department of State as a foreign service officer (aka, a diplomat). He and his wife plus their two boys (Deacon and Liam) are doing their first two-year tour in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Starting in 2024, Dave will study Mandarin Chinese for eight months and the family will move to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for their second two-year tour.
