Description
Whitefish Bay School District is looking for an Alumni Association Coorindator. This 12-month, part-time position will work 10-15 hours per month. This position will be based out of Whitefish Bay High School, but will serve the entire District. 
 
The mission of the Whitefish Bay Blue Duke Nation Alumni & Friends network (www.wfbbluedukenation.com) is to build and sustain a network of Blue Dukes both past and present. This network harnesses the collective talents and experiences of alumni to cultivate a vibrant and inclusive community committed to deepening connections with one another and finding ways to invest in opportunities for future Blue Dukes. The Alumni Network Coordinator will work with the Whitefish Bay School District and the Whitefish Bay Public Education Foundation to maintain and grow the alumni network which is hosted on a website maintained by Alumni Nations. 
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Specific qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in public relations, education, or business, and experience in community relations. 
 
Essential Functions:
 
Communications
  • Write and send a minimum of two (2) email blasts per month about alumni/Whitefish Bay School District/Whitefish Bay Public Education Foundation events, news, alumni stories, reunions, etc. to the alumni network via the www.wfbbluedukenation.com website.
  • Coordinate communication with the community/alumni via various communication platforms, including, but not limited to, flyers, brochures, emails, and social media (i.e., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Interview/research and write Alumni Stories (including photos) to post on  www.wfbbluedukenation.com.
  • Write and post Alumni, Whitefish Bay School District, and Whitefish Bay Public Education Foundation news, reunions, and events on www.wfbbluedukenation.com.
  • Connect with alumni and friends of Whitefish Bay School District and the Whitefish Bay Public Education Foundation in-person to build the network, the number of volunteers, and the number of alumni events.
  • Ensure compliance with Wisconsin public records retention laws for digital communications, including social media, the Blue Duke Nation website, and any work conducted on personal devices.
Event Planning
  • Facilitate/coordinate alumni events.
  • Publicize and support alumni reunions with website postings and emails to classes.
  • Promote Homecoming weekend reunion activities, including, but not limited to, informal and formal meetups, alumni game seating opportunities, etc.
Fundraising
  • Coordinate fundraising efforts with the Whitefish Bay School District, Whitefish Bay Public Education Foundation, and the alumni network.
Administration
  • Act as a liaison between the Whitefish Bay School District, the Alumni Committee, and the Whitefish Bay Public Education Foundation.
  • Establish and facilitate Alumni Committee meetings, which assist in managing the Alumni Association.
  • Develop annual goals for the Alumni Association.
  • Attend Whitefish Bay Public Education Foundation meetings as a District Representative.
  • Manage bill payments for the GoDaddy web hosting account and Alumni Nations account.
  • Meet regularly with the Alumni Nations Representative to maintain the database, website, and alumni network activities.
  • Keep Supervisor apprised of the status of various projects and programs.
Volunteer Coordination
  • Send lists of alumni who have volunteered to mentor, speak with students, or share their experiences to Whitefish Bay High School.
  • Collaborate with the Whitefish Bay School District on alumni activities with its schools, including, but not limited to, job shadow days, internships, and speaking events.
  • Communicate with individuals interested in volunteering with the Alumni Association and connect such individuals to service opportunities.
