Whitefish Bay High School Ranked
#1 High School in Wisconsin for Second Consecutive Year
Whitefish Bay High School is ranked #1 in Wisconsin and #157 in the United States according to
the 2025 Best High Schools by U.S. News & World Report. This is the second consecutive year that
Whitefish Bay High School has been ranked as the #1 High School in Wisconsin. The 2025 Best
High Schools ranked approximately 17,901 public high schools based on a broad range of data to
determine which high schools do the best job of preparing students for college.
The 2025 Best High Schools rankings take a holistic approach to evaluating schools, looking at six
factors: college readiness, college curriculum breadth, state assessment proficiency, state assessment
performance, underserved student performance, and graduation rate.
High School Principal, Amy Levek shared, “We are incredibly proud of this achievement, which
reflects the hard work and commitment of our entire 6-12 school community. We believe all students
can achieve at high levels with a strong core curriculum, and our intentional decisions in instruction
and curriculum are aligned with this belief. This powerful alignment between our beliefs and
outcomes has contributed to this wonderful recognition. I am proud to work with a team that
demonstrates such a strong sense of collective efficacy in pursuing equity and excellence for all
students.”
District Administrator Dr. Jamie J. Foeckler stated, “We are honored to receive this recognition.
Whitefish Bay High School has a proud tradition of earning top rankings both in Wisconsin and
across the nation. Such an accomplishment highlights our shared commitment to maintaining high
standards within a supportive and caring environment. It is not only a recognition of our high school
team, but also a celebration of our entire educational community. The recognition of this
achievement reflects the District’s dedication to excellence from kindergarten through 12th grade,
where we strive daily for all students to be engaged in rigorous and meaningful learning from the
